ISE 2018 was even better than we'd hoped for!

ISE 2018 was a big success for us. We met some really innovative companies and talked about very interesting projects to come.
Over 1200 exhibitors in 15 halls shared their creativity, innovation and expertise and we were really happy to be one of them.
Before the four days of the actual show there's a huge amount of work going into the planning, organizing and building of the stand and making sure everything will be just perfect because you only get one chance to WOW the visitors.

Our small but totally fierce team worked hard for this year's ISE and it really paid off. Even though the interest in our products by visitors of the show is ultimately the best price for us, it always feels good to get some recognition for the huge effort. So we were thrilled to hear our SENSE interactive window was a winner in the Best Of Show awards by NewBay Media! Also our stand was chosen to be a finalist in the Stand Design awards by Exhibitor magazine, and was therefore in the top three percent of all stands in the entire show.

So now we are back in Finland and happy to get to work! (And also start planning for next year's ISE)

P.S. If you missed it, there was an article of our new COO in the ISE Daily on tuesday, click here to read it, and also a story on Friday, click here to read it.

Seloy Live set to wow at ISE 2018!

Interactive glass ‘City’ will showcase unique tech

Seloy Live is upping the ante at this year’s ISE with its very own SeloyLive City (stand 15-S290). Boasting a shop-front window powering POSeidon’s POS solution, an ‘ice bar’ projecting the Northern Lights, a mini ‘movie theatre’, and a transparent/opaque interactive touch-glass prototype, SeloyLive City is set to wow attendees to ISE 2018 – taking place at the Amsterdam RAI from 6-9 February 2018.

Seloy Live’s SENSE technology is employed across Seloy Live’s stand. A state-of-the-art combination of a transparent insulating glass unit and interactive touch foil surface – enabling it
to also function as a regular window when switched off – SENSE is available in any size up to
3m x 6m for indoor and outdoor use, with ‘true zero’ bezels (in other words, there are none!) and boasts a touch response rate of 5-9ms.

The company’s SHADE glass technology is also featuring, as part of a new transparent/opaque interactive touch-glass prototype that combines SHADE and SENSE and functions in both transparent and non-transparent mode. SHADE boasts electronically adjustable transparency via a separate circuit breaker, allowing the user to toggle between transparent glass and non-transparent opaque – whilst a transparency dimmer function can also support up to six different opaque colour options.

“We’re very excited about ISE 2018,” says Jukka Vänskä, Seloy Live COO. “Our interactive touch window/glass technology is unique and there’s nothing to match it. At this year’s ISE we will have much more to show and more stories to tell of our successes, and we look forward to meeting many more attendees who I’m sure will be wowed by what we have to offer.”

After hours ‘window shop’ to feature at ISE 2018

Seloy Live is working with POS experts POSeidon Digital to create a ‘window shop’ to allow customers to continue making purchases after stores close – part of POSeidon’s Live Products technology solutions. Seloy Live is including a POSeidon window shop on its stand (15-S290) at ISE 2018, taking place at the Amsterdam RAI, 6-9 February 2018, and Seloy Live staff will be available to discuss the technology with attendees.

A demonstration video of POSeidon Digital Live Products can be viewed here.

“We are delighted to be able to discuss the POSeidon window shop with visitors at ISE 2018,” says Seloy Live Sales Director Anne Lindgren. “There’s nothing quite like our products on the market, and the retail sector in particular has already begun to show a huge interest in our range of solutions. We’re rewriting the rulebook for interactive touch technology by supercharging glass.”

UK debut for interactive touch glass with embedded sound

Seloy Live partnered with Feonic at RDSE 2017

Seloy Live, the innovative new interactive glass manufacturer, made its UK exhibition debut at RDSE (Retail Digital Signage Expo) 2017 with the first UK appearance of its unique 90” SENSE interactive touch, portrait window with embedded sound. The combination of a transparent insulating glass unit and interactive touch surface, with built-in sound from Feonic, was demonstrated on Seloy Live’s stand alongside a 42” SHINE customised mirror solution for augmenting existing professional displays.

RDSE and RDE (Retail Design Expo) took place at London’s Olympia from 8-9 May where SENSE was shortlisted for the RDSE Innovation Trail and Awards, appearing on the event’s ‘Winner’s Wall’.

“We were delighted to be able to showcase our embedded sound touch solution in the UK for the first time at RDSE – and were pleased to again be partnering with Feonic following the worldwide debut at ISE 2017,” says Seloy Live Sales Director Anne Lindgren. “There’s nothing quite like our products on the market, and the retail sector in particular has already begun to show a huge interest in our range of solutions – there was loads of positive feedback at RDSE. We’re rewriting the rulebook for interactive touch technology by supercharging glass.”

“We were so happy to again have the opportunity to work with Seloy Live at this year’s RDSE, following on from the display’s European debut at ISE,” says Brian Smith, Design Director, Feonic Ltd. “Seloy Live’s innovative range of interactive glass is a perfect match for Feonic’s invisible speaker technology, and RDSE attendees were wowed by this state-of-the-art technology combination.”

A video demonstrating how Feonic technology works within Seloy Live’s SHADE solution can be viewed here. SENSE can be seen in action (without Feonic sound) here.

Intended primarily for retail, the company’s interactive portfolio embeds touch technology securely inside glass, enabling it to also function as a regular window when switched off. SENSE is available in any size up to 3m x 6m for indoor and outdoor use, with ‘true zero’ bezels (in other words, there are none!), and boasts a touch response rate of 5-20ms.

With interactivity secure within the glass – and customisable to work across some or all of the total available area – SENSE is protected from vandalism and weather, and can be washed just like a regular window. Thermal insulation, sound reduction, fire protection and theft resistance functionality are all supported by Seloy Live, and can all be built in to the design phase is required. A non-interactive version with projection only, called SCENE, is also available.
SENSE is a cost-competitive alternative to expensive interactive LCD/OLED/LED videowalls. Perfect for retail and public environments, it engages passers-by with unique interactive content, and also eliminates the need for old-style static window taping promos or displays showing non-interactive marketing videos.

Seloy Live SHINE is a customised mirror solution product that augments existing professional displays of any size – a unique proposition. When the display device is switched off, SHINE functions and looks just like a regular mirror, but when the device is switched on, its content is clearly visible through SHINE. The product’s semi-transparent mirrored glass can support up to 100 touch points with a response rate of 5-10ms, and is also available without touch functionality.

Seloy Live SHADE (not demonstrated at RDSE) boasts electronically adjustable transparency via a separate circuit breaker, allowing the user to toggle between transparent glass and non-transparent opaque – whilst a transparency dimmer function can also support up to six different opaque colour options. Ideal for meeting rooms, SHADE can also be integrated with touch and interactivity, when in opaque mode, functioning as both glass and interactive projection surface.

Seloy Live’s SENSE interactive touch glass was recently utilised as part of a high-tech immersive popup event for the London release of Ghost in the Shell.

Seloy Live adds interactive pizzazz to movie promotion

Unique touch window tech makes London debut during Ghost in the Shell immersive popup event

Seloy Live made its London and UK debut as part of a Ghost in the Shell high-tech immersive popup event at Lights of Soho, the leading light-art and neon gallery – from 23-25th March. Seloy Live’s SENSE, a state-of-the-art combination of a transparent insulating glass unit and interactive touch surface, was utilised as part of a visually arresting, fully interactive window display.

Paramount Pictures tasked brand transformation specialists Brand-Revolution with transforming the gallery into a completely interactive and immersive experience to celebrate the launch of their latest blockbuster, starring Scarlett Johansson. Brand-Revolution used Kent-based interactive experts Spotted Zebra to source and install the technology and provide the window’s incredible visuals.

In addition to the interactive window, a 360° holographic Geisha mask and hologram were augmented by exclusive memorabilia from the film, and – during the 23rd March launch night – a performance from London electro DJ trio Sälen

A video of the launch event, showing Seloy Live’s SENSE in action, can be viewed above.

Seloy Live built and supplied the interactive glass to Lights of Soho’s window specification, including integrated (inside the glass) Displax film and a maximum touch area of 105”. A 2.8mm LED video wall was also positioned behind the glass to provide visible imagery during the day.

“We were delighted to be asked to help realize this incredible installation,” says Seloy Live Sales Director Anne Lindgren. “Ordinarily a high-lumen projector would be used to project the images onto SENSE glass for nighttime and low-lit daytime usage, but in this instance the client wanted the window to function in bright daytime conditions also so an LED video wall was added to the array of technology. The overall result was an incredible immersive experience for the duration of the popup installation.”

Spotted Zebra owner Neil Rowbottom adds: “This was a tricky setup as we also needed to make it function during the day. Even a 20,000 lumen laser projector proved ineffective during bright daylight conditions so we swapped projector for LED. The window then functioned as it should and it could be seen in daylight. Seloy Live did a great job to get the window there in the very tight timeframe after Displax pulled out all the stops to get the film made in double-quick time.”

Seloy Live’s interactive portfolio embeds touch technology securely inside tempered glass, enabling it to also function as a regular window when switched off. Available in any size up to 2800 x 5900mm for indoor and outdoor use, with ‘true zero’ bezels (in other words, there are none!), SENSE boasts a touch response rate of 5-20ms.

Seloy Live will be exhibiting at RDSE 2017 from May 8-9th, on stand B10.
